Be discussing How Optimism kills. The question has always been, does optimism really work for you or does it work against you? This is what we will be exploring today. In this post, I will cover how optimism works whether it works for you or against you and some of my personal views on optimism. How does it work?

So How does optimism work? This is a really good question. Most people will tell you to think positively and say so many time per day some kind of affirmation such as “ I am at peace with myself and the world around me” and although I believe that this can work it has nothing to do with optimism.

Optimism is thinking positively no matter what. You are simply able to see the good even in the worst of situations.That is true optimism and it is really hard to have true optimism in such a negative are a harsh world so if you know someone who always has a smile on their face, who always has kind words available to anyone in need or has achieved this level of mastery of their mental or emotional state give them the credit that they due. Let them know that you are grateful for them. In my opinion, we need more people like this in the world.

Now how it works is just like this, if you can always see the good then you are less likely going to pay attention to anything negative about the situation. When you feel like everything is good you just don’t spend your time worrying, angry or envious of anything or anyone. You are simply happy and content with things. This allows you to handle everything with a smile and possibly a deep sigh but with grace.

Does It Work Against You?

If you are always happy and content with things does that work against you? It could but it is not likely that it will. People who only have optimism in good times or not at all are far more likely to spend their time feeling angry, overwhelmed, worried or as if they were robbed in some way.

This is not a good way to live a day let alone a life. When you feel like life is not all you want it to be you tend to be depressed,uninterested, negative or downright hateful. This will only lead to loss and more pain at some level of your daily life. So now let me ask you which is better, to have optimism or to go without it?

How Does It Work For You?

Have you ever faced a really bad or life-altering situation? If so, Did you face that situation with any level of optimism? If you did then it is very likely that thing did not seem as bad as they might have been and if not it is just as likely that the situation seemed far worse then it really was.

See when you have optimism it eases the emotional load that you face in day to day life or in any situation you may face. It is not lieing to yourself about the situation but simply acknowledging that all things pass and that you will be okay no matter what the outcome.

Some people rely on their faith or religion for this optimism others on a daily practice. Some people are simply born with the ability to see only the good in the world. No matter you come to have and, or maintain optimism I can tell you first had it will never work against you.
